7 New Things Facebook Can Do

My morning coffee today did something new to me, I got instantly kicked with brainstorming, from random to business ideas.
For a start, it was something what more can Facebook do - not counting change in algorithms or ad strategies or acquiring start ups, something at the ground level - for users - their experience over Facebook.

Here is what it dawned upon me :

1. Voice Over Status : 

How about ditching ABCs, and putting up a status that is your own voice? Tag your voice status with someone you are with. How about enabling an RSS Feed too? May be some dear one would want to keep you near all the time in his memory lane? More personalised, isnt it? Easier isnt it? 

2. Dedicate Songs :

Listening to a song and sharing it on Facebook is okay. Tagging the song you are listening to and sharing it on their timelines is okay too. How about a "dedicating" a song? Or almost anything : a picture, a video, a personalised note to a friend? Let your friends treasure what you have dedicated to them on their profiles distinctively, and not let it lose in "tagged" universe.

3. My Space :

Businesses can create custom tabs on their pages. If user profiles could with ease? Show on your profile what means to you the most. Not talking about a plain post on a timeline but a custom tab. What if Facebook allows you to do something on this line - May be your puppy who means a heaven to you, may be the latest gadget you have bought, may be you just topped your exam, may be your new house.

4. SmileUp :

There are good friends, and then there are friends who are your lifelines. How about Facebook launches a feature that flaunts on your timeline that tells what your life-line friends have to say about you?

You are my partner in crime, but dont ever make pan-cakes, your scooby would not even whiff it :P

5. Good Morning!

Why not tell the world you are up and ready to conquer the universe? Mark in on Facebook and get started with your day! Find your friends who are up around your time, and go on a jog. 

What can be even best is, if, Facebook has an in built alarm. Say good bye to boring Phone Alarms. Would you not love to hear "a wake up alarm call" in my friend's voice.

6. New Year Resolution

Life Events are okay. What if Facebook helps you mark in our New Year Resolutions? Something on the lines of say :

New Year Resolution 2015 : I, Kriti Arneja, pledge to exercise 45 minutes daily.
New Year Resolution 2014 : I, Kriti Arneja, pledge to stand up for anti-littering cause actively.

7. FScore : 

Let each user know how "active" you are in your circle. There could be many signals "activating" the score - how many times are you being searched, how many times you are being mentioned, how many times your photos are viewed or liked, how many times you do a reciprocal gesture.
Race of the FScore guaranteed, eh?
