7 new stories about climate change

Oi Oi!

Welcome back to the One, the ONLY, GOOD NEWS LETTER! WOOHOO.

Sorry, bit too much enthusiasm for the morning.

This week is just a normal week, so there is nothing too special to report on.

So the only real question is, did you also put up your Christmas tree already?

Can confirm, my apartment had a bit of Christmas music going already. Too early? Maybe. Do I care? no.

Enjoy!

Booming Solar!

The US solar generation system has grown by twelvefold, in the last 10 years, producing enough to power over 19 million homes. Although vastly outperformed by Wind, solar is on the rise!

The Carbon Neutral Finns

This small finish city aims to be carbon neutral in just a few years, proving it can be down both on a large and small scale. Most small cities cannot keep up with technology since it requires scale, but this city proves us wrong.

A Bubble Curtain

You might be thinking, a curtain made from bubbles? Underwater? No way! Well here's what it's being used for: to protect ocean life. These curtains are created to prevent the large amount of noise generated by building a wind farm from disturbing local sea life!

Women Saving Animals

This national park in Mozambique has been showing an astounding return to nature. After much turmoil in the area, animal populations have been on the decline. But, with a focus on re-educating, and developing community systems (with women empowerment at its core), the animals are coming back.

Failing to Recycle

The state of New York is suing the Pepisico conglomerate for their failure to support legislation that should encourage more recycling. The state is citing their contribution to plastic waste ending up in rivers across the state.

The Big Ones

This has been all over the news, but the Biden-Xi summit seemed to be more successful than expected, with a large portion being focused on the climate crisis. Both countries are agreeing to more ambitious goals than ever before.

Deforestation is WAYY down

This year alone, deforestation is down 70% in Columbian forests. Since taking power in 2022, the leftist-controlled government has installed strong legislation to tackle the decade-long issue.

And that's it, folks.

I hope you enjoyed your Monday morning dose of good news.

As you go forward in your week, remember to:

  • Be Kind
  • Care for those around you
  • Make a difference

I'll see you back again, same place and time, next week!

As always, have a great rest of your week!

Bye Bye ????
