??? 7 must-have resources under the umbrella of career connections, leadership, jobs, & the talent marketplace

This month's newsletter is brief because 1) we're all hanging onto summer, fresh air, bbq's, travels, and a much-needed breather so reading longer newsletters aren't exactly on the to-do list and 2) I've been cooking up some projects like a new website, a new workshop, and a new online course cohort (Fast-Track Your Career Change - get early bird pricing and join us August 10th!) - that's where my time has been spent between the summer moments of sunshine.

So, this month, I'm sharing ideas, tips, tricks, and resources from wise voices among the career development, talent marketplace, and learning & leadership landscape:

  1. Check out Al Dea 's list of 5 Leadership Development podcasts!
  2. Scoop up innovation and facilitation card decks to spark ideas and generate connection in your learning programs shared by Jakob Knutzen ?? & Anamaria Dorgo , featured by Butter, a pretty awesome digital collaboration and learning platform.
  3. One of my favorite authors and powerhouse negotiators, Alex Carter , highlights ways companies show employees they're valued beyond free snacks and "pizza party" perks.
  4. Alexis Robertson shares a powerful visual highlighting the various dimensions and #DEI issues needing to be addressed. Izabela Lundberg, M.S. published a list of 6 essential open-ended questions that can unlock challenges and help us problem-solve, together. I have bookmarked these - they're critical for any collaboration, partnership, or team interaction. Fortune published an article highlighting a research survey of nearly 11,500 Gen-Z high school and college students where 63% said they'd rather work in person. What do you think of this?Check out Maddy French 's new bestselling book, Writing for Humans and Robots, for anyone who works in content marketing, owns a website, has a blog, touches digital marketing or social media, or needs a guide to writing for online audiences. Writing is a critical skill in today's talent marketplace, and writing for the web (cover letters, linkedin profiles, websites and portfolios, customer-facing resources) is a part of almost any career these days. ?

Would you like to experience my new workshop on career relationships and resilience before anyone else? I'll be hosting a beta (trial) workshop before I launch it for clients to soak up as much feedback and practice as possible. Email me: Rebecca (@) theknockmethod (dot) com or send me a DM on Linkedin to be included in the very first workshop group. Participants selected will receive a signed copy of my book, KNOCK, and meet an inspiring group of leaders where you'll build your network and learn together.

Share your goals and let's co-create a workshop that meets your needs.
