3 个月Love the fact that "Communication" made the list Riken! That said, its rare that the EHR itself can deliver a complete solution in this regard. The reason is that the entire foundational premise of the EHR is (should be) a security framework that requires considered authentication to let someone "in." This is not an issue with the practice's staff and the patient; these are all 'known' entities. But what happens when the patient has a medical directive or power of attorney in place? Or your practice needs to collaborate with 'external' members of that specific patient's "care team" which might include the likes of community pharmacists, phlebotomists dispatched from the local lab, a Physical Therapist or Registered Dietitian from an independent practice or a parent or child? Obviously there are significant strides being made to share the data via interoperability to the entire care team. But managing the complexities of communication across a varied and diverse team of individuals - unique to each patient - is a real challenge. And the EHR's communication capabilities may be limited in supporting this without significant efforts to adhere to privacy & security requirements (i.e., HIPAA). Hucu.ai has addressed this.
