I wrote this article to highlight the 7 Marketing Methods Small Business Owners Can Use During The COVID-19 Lockdown to better assist you to make wise revenue increasing decisions, especially when times are tough, clients are dropping and the safety blanket seems to be less and less cushy.

  1. Work on your Automation Tools - Mailchimp, Active Campaign, click funnels etc. are all great tools that can assist you to build your marketing funnel online.
  2. Create more consistent, quality content and discover new ways to keep up with the trends - If you haven't got the budget to hire a designer or a post-production team try tools like Canva, iMovie, InShot, Splice and get creative with building content.
  3. Now is the best time to build your brand online and to think about your legacy and the impact you want to make - Scale up and launch that online course, your members area or your online video training. Do not scale back during this golden era.
  4. Understand your audience and their new buying, browsing and consumer behaviour - discover what's trending, what they're watching and what their immediate and most current needs and wants are. Remember that people are drawn to positivity so remain positive for the sake of your customers!
  5. Analyse, test and measure - there's nothing more important than testing the market and tracking your numbers. Knowing exactly what return each marketing strategy is providing will be your key to not just survival, but growth. Digital marketing has become the best low-cost, high-return marketing strategy, mostly because of the immediate, low cost, measurable capabilities.
  6. Promote your offers - Offer upgrades to your services and/or free delivery to your products. This way people see that you care and that you're aware of their financially difficult situation.
  7. Utilise LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram - social media platforms have always been widely popular and are great for you to leverage as more people are browsing now than ever. Not only are these platforms able to get your product and service out there immediately, but they are also highly effective and require little financial commitment.
