7 LinkedIn Superheroes You Need to Follow Right Now

Each and every one of us has untapped superpowers we can use to save the world around us — and by “world around us” I mean our homes, our communities, our schools, and even our social networks.

During the past six months or so, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a number of such superheroes here on LinkedIn. Some of them have helped to save my world — while I’ve watched some others work their powers from afar.

It’s no surprise — yet a great honor — that when I announced the formation of the Freedom League, a number of these LinkedIn Superheroes heeded the call and jumped right in.

In this article, I highlight seven such superheroes who I recommend following right now:

Here are their powers:

Jake Jordan — Although you can clearly see Captain America pictures in the background when he does video calls or appears in The (UN)Learn Show, Jake claims he is a DC Comics fan. Jake is one of the most giving, generous people I’ve met here on LinkedIn (or anywhere), and one of his many superpowers is helping people humanize their marketing/branding approach. He’ll be bringing those powers to bear in the Freedom League. He joins us from his secret headquarters near Dallas, TX.

Robin Bennett — Robin is old-school, favoring Roman and Greek gods to the DC/Marvel debate of today. A business development rock star — she has a super knowledge of wine (especially biodynamic), which to me is the true drink of heroes :) Robin joins us from her Fortress of Solitude in the Atlanta, GA area.

Laura Durst — Laura uses her superpowers to conquer any obstacles in her path. Those powers include a love of learning — and amazing use of watercolors. Laura conquers her challenges from the Lone Star State.

Evan Kirstel — A social media superhero, Evan is one of the world’s foremost social media tech influencers, working with some of the biggest and best tech startups (and established companies) in the world. There is a rumor that Tony Stark has hired Evan to manage his Twitter account, but that’s unconfirmed. When he’s not traveling the world, Evan saves the world from his headquarters near Boston.

Mark Voorhoeve — With a superhero name like “Smiling Dutchy”, you just know that Mark’s special power is lighting up the room (or virtual video chat) with his smile. The Freedom League will be brighter, thanks to this superhero, who joins us from Germany.

Michael Henson — Also known as “The Unashamed Creative”, Michael uses his superpowers to help creatives unlock their dreams. Michael works from an undisclosed location near St. Louis, MO.

Laci McDowell — Her superpower is authenticity, and she uses that in her role as a digital marketer, as one of (if not the) best commenters on LinkedIn, and as a co-host of The (UN)Learn Show. Laci works from the Hall of Authenticity in Bozeman, MT.

These are just some of the superheroes I’ve had the opportunity to get to know on LinkedIn.

Who are the LinkedIn Superheroes you recommend following? Please leave them in the comments.

If you’re interested in joining us in the Freedom League, it launches this Sunday. We’d love to have you as a member of the team.
