7 life lessons learned in the last 7 years...

Here are 7 of the biggest life lessons I learned through making a lot of mistakes over the last 7 years.

Hope it's helpful.

#1 Prioritize your mental health!

I suffered with depression all of 2018 as a result of not being able to talk about my problems.

Going to a counsellor consistently for 12 months has been the best decision I have ever made.

#2 Train with a purpose and enjoy it!

I really enjoy exercises like deadlifts, push ups, dumbbell presses and running.

Now I do more of those because if you want to be able to train and improve long term you have to enjoy what your doing.

#3 Take one day at a time, consistent effort over years yields great results!

“The journey of a thousand miles started with a single step”.

#4 Try different exercises and find out what works best for you.

For example I have had issues with elbow tendinitis and my right knee (tore the cartilage when I was 16) so I have had to modify a lot of the training that I do.

This is important as I have been able to get stronger without injuring myself or making my issues worse.

#5 Failure is inevitable so embrace it, learn from it and move on.

There is no win or lose. You only win or learn.

“The master has failed more times than the apprentice has even tried”.

#6 Only train as hard as you can recover!

Your body has a finite recovery capacity. When you train hard regularly it takes a toll on your body. I have found that training hard for 1.5 hours 3-4x per week really fatigues me and ultimately causes my concentration and performance in work to suffer.

Striking the balance between training, recovering and work has been essential to optimizing all aspects of my life.

#7 You will progress 10X faster if you invest time and money learning from people who solve the problem you currently have.

Get rid of your ego, learn from those people and invest as much €€€ as possible with them.

When you invest with a coach they keep you accountable to your goals. They show you the path you need to take to get from where you are now to where you want to be. They make it easy for you to become the person you want to be by guiding you down the path.

Hope that was helpful.

Hope you have a productive day!
