It doesn’t matter your age, how much money you have in your bank account, your marital status or what you do for a living, we all want to be more successful in our lives. Of course, defining success is different for each of us, but here are 7 proven ways that can make you more productive, happy and successful in the years to come.
1) Small changes add up to big changes.
For example, your daily habits make a big difference in the outcome of your life, so choose what you want wisely and start it with a little action and focus on the compound effects and it will be led to a habit instead of a wish.
2) Passions don’t come to you, you chase them.
It seems to me that most of the people don’t know what they really want, so you have to stop looking for your passion and do something, try a whole bunch of things, pick a few you like and then commit to them, it might be a hobby at first but after you commit, for a while, it will be turned into a passion.
3) Don’t take rejection personally.
The fear of rejection is a powerful fear that often has a far-reaching impact on our lives. Most people experience some nerves when placing themselves in situations that could lead to rejection, but for some people, the fear becomes crippling. This fear can have many underlying causes.
4) Eliminate your procrastination.
Most things don’t take as long as you think more you start. So get organized, set achievable goals, create a schedule, deadline, get rid of distractions, time yourself, use incentives and take a break.
5) Find happiness, then success will come.
Don’t make your emotional cookie jars are empty with cobwebs. If you find happiness first, I guarantee you will find success in your own terms faster than if you’re doing miserably plus it makes the journey more enjoyable and honestly you only have one life.
6) Don’t hold grudges.
There is really no need to hold onto a grudge. It can mentally wear you out and makes you miserable. And, doesn’t life seem to go a whole lot smoother when you’re not angry?
you have to acknowledge the problem and figure out what it is that’s causing you to hold a grudge, and try to switch the places and put yourself in their shoes, create your own healing, with or without an apology. Don’t wait for the person you are upset with to come around, take the positive and forgive.
7) Be committed.
No matter what goals you have set for yourself in life, you have to be committed. It’s through commitment that you’ll continue to make the improvements needed to better yourself. Whether it’s taking a chance on launching a startup, getting a gym membership to improve your physical well-being, or taking a cooking class because you want to become a chef, commitment is what drives us all to become more successful.
In the nutshell, helping others is beneficial for our health. But, how can you help others if you haven’t taken care of yourself first? Take care of your needs first and then begin to help others.
