7. How mature is your existing L&D?

CLO (knocking his CEO’s cabin) : May I come in?

CEO : Yes, please…As discussed last time, I have given you my business heads to be part of our COP (Corporate OutLearning Practice)! But what are the next steps?

CLO : Well, the first step is to find out where we are currently. Let's do the baseline assessment of how our existing L&D Process. It will help us set the ball rolling and find out what we can leverage and what we can stop doing to lift it to L&D 2.0 which is COP!

CEO : Fair enough, let's do it. What do you need from my side for the same?

CLO : Only 15 minutes. These are 8 questions that we need to assess ourselves on and that's it. We will get a baseline of where we are.

CEO : That's really easy. Let's do it. Thanks for doing all the hard work to find those 8 questions and make my life easier. I like that. Appreciated.

CEO : OK, Let's do it now. Let us share the same with our COP Team as well. Next week when we meet at our weekly COP cadence, they should come with their version of our L&D assessment. I am excited to know our company score!

CEO : You are welcome! I have learnt one thing, nothing happens without we committing our regular time to it. I am a big fan of cadence calls :) and now this new COP of ours! Let us do it!
