#7 How Technology Unleashes the Learning Potential of our Social Brain

Wednesday, May 23 @ 12:05 pm

You’ll learn:

  • How to create a learning strategy that’s focused on learner’s needs, not the needs of your IT team
  • How to create effective learning and collaboration strategies
  • How to use collaborative learning to drive organisational and cultural change
  • How you can use emerging technologies to make social learning even more engaging

The way we learn is determined by our brain and our brains have evolved to be social. Discussions around technology and learning often put technology first. New technology certainly has a role to play, but to be really successful we need a learning strategy that is based around the social human brain. Understanding and applying this will make our learning more effective.

Avado have been pioneering collaborative online learning, harnessing technology to enable social interaction and the establishment of online relationships and communities. In this session, they’ll look at the impact that collaboration and social interaction has had on the effectiveness of professional online learning and how collaborative learning can drive organisational and cultural change. They’ll also examine how emerging technologies (such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Gamification) can be used to make social and collaborative learning even more engaging in the future.

This year’s HRD Summit Europe is set to be the biggest and best yet, and we can’t wait to hear from the brightest and best in the industry.
