7 Epic Ways To Create Landing Pages Using Wix

A Landing Page is a one-pager that focuses on conversion. While a Website is a multi-page of information to promote your business or brand.

Landing Pages is a great tactic to grow your business. It can be used for:

• ?? For podcast/blog subscription; to receive ongoing content via email
• ?? Presentations for your slides
• ?? Promote your products or services
• ?? Free course page
• ?? Video lessons
• ?? And more.

Before we go deep into setting your own landing pages. People often confuse a website with a landing page, the table below is to help clarify the difference.

As part of String’s Theory of marketing, I'm going to show you some examples of landing pages using Wix.

?? Landing Page #1: Launching/Coming Soon Page

Are you thinking about launching a new website, product or service? Create a buzz about it and start generating interest leads in the weeks (or months) leading up to the launch.

A Coming Soon page also acts like a temporary home page telling visitors that your site is under construction. 

Your Coming Soon page does not have a header or footer and therefore, visitors are unable to navigate to the rest of your site. You can leave a message for them to come back at a later date, or to subscribe.

I’ve use this format to validate ideas and garner interest from the market. Use minimal copy; just enough to keep them keen and interested. There's quite a number of 'coming soon' templates to choose from with Wix.

Use "Launching Soon" format:

• As a filler till you're ready to launch your full website
• When you're launching a new product or service.
• An alternative to your sales page.

?? Landing Page #2: Booking Page

Update and save real estate, instead of a written 'About Me' page, replace with a video and booking system - hook it up to your calendar. Create a Booking Page like this.

Take it one step further and use the one pager for people to book a time with you. We all have business meetings, and I would use this as a potential segue to promote your story and allow people to book a time with you quickly.

Add your favourite social button like LinkedIn, Twitter and/or Instagram.

Use “Booking Page” format:

• To promote your speaking and consulting gigs.
• To promote your content series like Podcast or YouTube channel.
• As your main ‘Link’ for your social media bios, like Twitter and LinkedIn.
• For promotional events or materials as a way to e-introduce yourself. Think Webinars, courses, press, speaking gigs.
• As a link from your email signature.

?? Landing Page #3: Gateways to build Communities

Communities is an emerging marketing trend, it’s a focused group of people with the same interest or values.

Use the community landing page to funnel like-minded people together. It can be fun and silly, or super serious.

Popular tools for communities are: Facebook groups is for most, LinkedIn groups suit professional, Slack are popular with techies and gamers love Discord.

?? Landing Page #4: Help Desk

The help desk is a place for clients to gain support. The purpose of the help desk in business is to resolve customer complaints and queries. I used Wix to create a simple form layout to track and create support tickets for my various projects, like Master Your Video.

When designing a landing page, think about the goal or intention of the page. Keep the simplicity and goal in mind.

?? Landing Page #5: Video Lesson Page

I love videos and I have a big library of them. This page format is a good way to recycle and curate your existing videos. For example, you can use format to send "free" video content to your potential customers and educate/sell your products or services. See a video page here.

Use ‘Video Lesson’ format:

• To recycle existing video content
• To email new subscribers and introduce them to your content
• To create a short drip email campaign with a video focus
• To email your customers about a new course or tutorial

?? Landing Page #6: "Something Free" Page

That ‘Something Free’ can be the following things:

• an ebook
• a checklist
• a video course
• a email drip campaign like video lessons
• an e-course
• a scorecard
• a free trial of “something”

The main thing is to collect lots and lots of email. In this format is that in exchange for a visitor’s email, you give them something of value. In marketing, this is called a lead magnet.

Here’s another level up to help validate your idea:

I believe the highest form of market validation is when people are willing to buy the product or service. Add a payment processor for people to buy and use a lead capture form, to collect and deliver the ‘paid’ content/product on your behalf.

?? Landing Page #7: A (Very Short) Webinar Page

One way to grow your business is to host a 45-60 minute webinar to promote your product + services (and answer questions).

Your landing page can be a simple format like this.

Things to note:

• It's all about the compelling heading
• Keep copying short and complete
• There's less concern to craft the "perfect" story.
• Tell your customers when the webinar is and how to register.

Use the ‘Webinar Page’ format:

1. When you're emailing to your list.
2. When you're marketing to your social network.

As you can tell, there are many ways of creating landing pages, but they key point is to make sure you have a specific goal for each page.

It’s a great way to track conversion and validate ideas.
