7 Days Left in AI Box's Crowdfunding
Lessons learned from the last three months of crowdfunding for AI Box, a groundbreaking tool that lets anyone create AI apps without needing to code.
I'm excited to share that we've successfully raised over $420,000 from more than 420 investors, thanks to our campaign on Republic and additional support off-platform. As we wrap up our last 7 days of the campaign I wanted to share some trends I am noticing and some lessons learned though this process.
The landscape for startups, particularly in AI, is shifting dramatically. With venture capitalists becoming more cautious about where they invest their money, new startups are finding creative ways to get the funding they need. This change is leading to some interesting trends in the startup world.
One major trend I've noticed is the emergence of small, efficient companies:
This setup is becoming more common and shows just how much you can do with AI today. It's a big change from the past when tech companies typically immediately hired a large team of USA based developers before product market fit.
Another shift is the move towards bootstrapping. This approach is becoming more popular as it often leads to quicker profitability. Investors are now more interested in companies that can make money fast, rather than those that spend years developing a product without any guarantee of success.

Lean profit focused companies is a departure from the past when startups could raise and spend millions without having a clear market for their product.
A key part of our success has been the use of organic media, like this LinkedIn Newsletter. Having a platform to directly engage with our audience has been invaluable. It's not just about reaching out to potential customers; it's also about building a product that meets their needs. This direct feedback loop is something investors value highly.
Moreover, encouraging team members to share their work and thoughts online has proven to be a powerful tool for attracting talent and engaging with the community.
Lastly, the importance of in-person networking cannot be overstated. Attending industry events has been incredibly beneficial for learning, networking, and forming partnerships. These connections are vital for the growth and success of any startup, particularly in the AI field.
As our crowdfunding campaign wraps up, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported AI Box. The enthusiasm and feedback from our community have been overwhelming. With more than 3,700 corporations and professionals on our waitlist, including representatives from major companies, the future of AI Box looks bright.
This journey has reaffirmed the power of community and the potential of AI to transform how we work and create. If you're interested in being a part of this exciting venture, check out our campaign on Republic before it closes.

9 个月Congrats Jaeden! Glad to say that I am one of the “waitlisted” – looking forward to the use of AI Box! Additionally, concur with and relate to the observations that you cited. “Bootstrapping” especially; and when bootstrapping we naturally must leverage the best tools we can find (at the time), and develop the most skills that we can within the shortest time, with a limited/or non-existent budget, to be used by a smaller cadre/staff than other companies or orgs - to operate as inexpensively as possible. We capitalize on the skills, experience, and uniqueness that we have in the most feasible way in order to succeed.?
