The 7 books on my reading list 2021

We all know it: lectures, seminars and fairs will be widely restricted in 2021 due to the pandemic. So those who want to keep up and grow personally need to read. A lot! Here are my books for 2021!

1. "How to win Friends and Influence People"

An all time classic on interpersonal relations. I made it half way through and although I don't agree with everything it is extremely useful knowledge. No wonder it has been over 70 years in print now!

2. "The Wim Hof Method"

A book about finding comfort in discomfort. Wim Hof holds 26 world records and his breathing, meditation and cold exposure method enables previously thought to be impossible feats. In 2018 a team of scientists proofed that practitioners were able to influence their immune system at will! I started practicing the WHM a month ago and I feel fantastic! A real good habit to pick up in 2021.

3. "12 Rules for Life - An Antidote to Chaos"

I will read the book the third time this year, probably along with "12 more Rules for Life - Beyond mere order" which is coming out this spring. Jordan Peterson's theory of meaning and value is unbelievably profound and that's reflected in this list. It deserves its status as an bestseller!

4. "Maps of Meaning"

More complex and more profound. The second book of Jordan Peterson on this list but actually the ground work of his philosophy. I made it a third into the book in 2020 an plan on finishing it this year. Not a book for everybody but those who read it will be profoundly influenced in their world view!

5. "Kunststoffe in der Medizintechnik"

Let's get to the more technical books. I'm already done with the book "Kunststoffe in der Medizintechnik" an incredibly good and concise summary of plastics in medical devices. From bio compatibility over product development to sterilization methods used for plastic devices. At this point I wanted to give a shout out to some of the authors and coauthors that I am honored to count to my network.

6. "Reinraumtechnik in der Spritzgussverarbeitung"

It's obvious how important clean room manufacturing is to medical devices, therefore a dedicated book an that complex topic makes sense. I've yet to start reading this one but I will start probably after "Kunsstoffe in der Medizintechnik". I'll give you an update after reading it with the most important findings for me.

7. "Laser Sintering with Plastics"

Since my master thesis I am passionate about AM and reading up on topics you are passionate about always makes sense. At this point I wanted to give a shout out to Manuel Schaffner and Spectroplast AG who sponsored the Einstein on top of my books. Doing the master thesis with him was an honor for me!

And probably many more..

Probably the seven above will not be the only books I read. I got a bunch of good recommendations like, shout out to the people who recommended them to me

What do you recommend reading in 2021? Leave a comment!
