7 Blue Ocean Market Launch Lessons I Learned Working With Industry Pioneers

??On BLUE OCEAN MARKETS AND INVENTIONS ...

??Here are 8 things I've learned helping pioneers get their products to market.

There you are. You've invented something completely new. A world-first.

And created a completely new industry. But here's the challenge: how do you tell the world about something they can't even imagine? You're in new territory.

Crafting not just a product, but a whole new language to describe it. No template. No roadmap.

I get it. I've been there myself more than once.I have also attracted and navigated product development, created brands, and spearheaded Go-To-Market initiatives for many blue ocean visionaries over the years.

So, I know the incredible thrill. And - the frustration.

Here are a few things I've learned. I hope they help:---

1. SKIP THE ECHO CHAMBER:

Forget Focus Group reliance. Praise feels good but can be very misleading and usually is.

The only true vote is one that involves someone’s wallet not their theoretical opinions.---

2 . LEAN LAUNCHES

Skip the marathon R&D or multiple 'gates' NPD process (where possible). Aim for swift, smart debuts. Test, learn, iterate rapidly.

We bypassed the usual 18-month, $500k+ R&D slog for a 3-month, $10k sprint to a market-ready MVP.

---3. CREATE IN THE QUANTUM

Master the art of working with the Quantum field and you'll create a magnetic pull that is almost supernatural. Ride the Wave: Like Einstein on his beam of light, merge with your audience's flow. Don't push; pull.

---4. BE COMFORTABLE WITH CONFUSION:

Pioneers have the exhilaration of creating A new world but the challenge of creating a yet non-existent market. That requires education and time.

The trick is in maximising awareness and market penetration fast before competitors cotton on and profit from your education campaign.

---5. UNEXPECTED APPEAL

What excites customers might surprise you. Who they are may surprise you. In my experience, it often isn't what you first think.

Start based on your idea of your ideal avatar but monitor and measure and be open to pivoting.

My client thought the market for a new product was 30 - 50 year old females. When sales stats came in post-launch it turned out it was mainly 60+ men and women.

---6. EXPERTS: KNOW WHEN TO HOLD 'EM. KNOW WHEN TO FOLD 'EM:

Strike the right balance. Listen, delegate but do not abdicate authority. Only take advice from marketers who are not only great at what they do but who are prepared to dig deep and understand your product/service intimately. first.

Yes, it'll cost but it's way less costly than missing the mark by taking advice from uninformed advice.

---7. THE UNICORN:

The Telepathic, intuitive Marketing Shapeshifting Alchemist

Those who know how energy works, know the value of this.Find that rare gem.

Someone who walks beside you, whose marketing genius is matched by an uncanny intuition and ability to create results energetically. Remember, you're not just launching a product.

You're creating a new world.
