6S at Home

6S at Home

Somehow, quality systems came up at the dinner table. For the life of me, I can’t remember why. But my 8 year old son picked up on it. He went up to his room and labeled his drawers.

"Great!" I said. "Did you know that people do the same thing at work in order to do things more efficiently? Labeling things helps everyone know where everything should be."

I couldn't help thinking that this was another sign of a developing engineer honing his logical skills.

He looked up and said, "Dad, I just did this so Mom would know where to put my clothes."

That's when I knew he is destined for management.
