61% of people believe this about #AI

This week, I participated in?two great events - Montclair Starts Up by the Feliciano School of Business and the first?Startup Showcase event in New York City?by the AI Marketers' Guild.?

At Montclair Starts Up, which I co-hosted with Montclair State University, we had a panel of AI experts?from NVIDIA and Google Labs. The event served as a platform for entrepreneurs and AI enthusiasts to explore the dynamic world of artificial intelligence.

What struck me the most were what I would fondly refer to as "ZINGERS." These were not negative inquiries but rather a clear indication that the individuals in the room were not just curious about AI; they were genuinely concerned about how it would affect them personally and professionally. One attendee drew parallels between the current AI boom and the Dot-Com era, highlighting the disruptive potential of AI in industries, much like how the internet transformed travel agencies.

That said, here are some stats that cannot be denied. AI can increase a person's productivity by 15-40% and, within 10 years, can automate 50-60% of a person's tasks, according to McKinsey.?

I believe it's essential to acknowledge that, like the Dot-Com boom, there will always be dissent and anxiety surrounding transformative changes. However, we must sail ahead to understand whether the waters will be turbulent or calm. In reality, I don't foresee AI replacing numerous jobs within the marketing and advertising sector in the short term, but those who've mastered AI will.

It's an exciting journey ahead, and our engagement at the event reinforced my belief in AI's immense potential and promise for all of us.
