60 Second Snippet #71 - VIP Masterclass Day - key trends

VIP Masterclass Day - key trends

Last Thursday we ran our most successful full day event to date. It was our third VIP Masterclass Day for some of our VIP clients, and selected VIP guests.?

The day was split into five, to help those that attended to develop their future business goals & build out a plan.

  1. Reflections on the previous period: what worked and what didn't, plus some goal setting
  2. Keynote speakers: Role clarification; repeating the small wins
  3. Keynote speakers: The importance of seeking expertise and the wisdom to follow it
  4. My business partner Clare and I sharing our reflections on the key trends in the market in the last 12 months
  5. Developing an action plan for growth

Our keynote speakers were Laura Massaro MBE and Danny Massaro Ph.D. talking about their steps to Laura becoming the world number one squash player.

In the section where Clare and I discussed trends, we discussed all of the challenges, frustrations and opportunities business owners that we talk to and work with on a regular basis are sharing with us, and summarised these into six key areas.

These are the key considerations for any business with growth aspirations to be reviewing and implementing over the next twelve months:

  1. Building the right business – one that serves your purpose
  2. Planning & taking action (talk doesn’t cook rice Danny talks about)
  3. Tracking your success – having key measures to monitor performance
  4. Raising brand awareness – how do get in front of people who don’t know you
  5. Delighting your clients – how to deliver a WOW!
  6. Getting the right help – what experts you need in your corner to succeed

We didn’t touch on recruitment and retention because every client and contact we speak with knows this as a key issue.? They didn’t need reminding.

Every business plan needs to consider these trends as these are the key opportunities and threats for all small business owners right now.

As we head towards the end of 2023 (seriously, where does the time go?), make sure you have a plan in place to capitalise on the opportunities you have, and make 2024 a year to remember.

Happy planning.
