CX might not be for you.
I’m calling out the CX professionals who won’t take responsibility for their company’s bad CX.
Yes there’s hurdles - but if you think of the companies that we consider idols in the customer experience world - they had hurdles too, the difference is - they wanted it bad enough.
If you’re not willing to put in the work to get over the hurdles in your company that are standing between you and good customer experience, it might just be that you don’t want it bad enough and maybe you should consider another career - if I’m being completely honest - we don’t need people like you in the discipline of CX.
You might think that sounds harsh, but remember I don’t care about the customer experience of any one company, I care about the customer experience community as a whole. My allegiance doesn’t lie with a company it lies with every single cx professional - so if there’s people in the profession giving everyone else a bad name - I’d rather they move on...and if you’re honest...and not one of those people...I think you probably feel the same.
So I’m calling out the people who are just phoning it in when it comes to CX, you know who you are and so does everyone else. CX might not be for you.
