60 Days of Data Entry
It is master scheduling season at Escondido Union School District (EUSD).
For middle schools, we use PowerScheduler with PowerSchool. Middle school registrars and principals work hand-in-hand through June so the master schedules are ready to "commit" for the following school year by June.
For our elementary schools, I did a pilot project a few years ago. I selected elementary schools (we have a few). I presented the idea/suggestion by asking the question: How would you like to save at least a week's worth of data entry? My goal was to have the master schedules ready for review before all the registrars' summer vacation. When they returned in August, they are in "fine tuning mode;" almost ready to post the schedules for parents and students.
Result: 60+ days of data entry for elementary schools' registrar - no more
