The upcoming CEdMA Enterprise Autumn conference will mark the 60th anniversary of us holding such conferences.

60 conferences in the last 30 years - what an achievement !!!

Here's a bit more CEdMA and CEdMA conference history:

The Computer Education Management Association (CEdMA) was founded in January 1991, when training development managers from Intel, Interactive, Hewlett Packard, Novell, Santa Cruz Operations, Sun Microsystems, and Wang Laboratories met to discuss the creation of a consortium that focused on the training needs in the computer industry. It was decided that the computer industry could bene?t from an organization that would provide leadership and direction in establishing standards for training.

The founding members decided that as education managers, our companies were not competing for the same students, and we could share the successes and failures of some of our programs. The group decided to concentrate our e?orts on becoming a professional organization for the computer education manager. Hence the Computer Education Management Association (CEdMA) was formed.

Similarly, in 1993, CEdMA Europe was founded by training managers from Oracle, Software AG, IBM, Sun, Sybase, Novell and WordPerfect. CEdMA Europe has always been company-oriented as a trade association, whereas CEdMA US in late 2023 decided to focus more on individual customer education professionals. As a consequence, CEdMA Europe rebranded to CEdMA Enterprise to concentrate on larger global enterprises. We both still hold to the same core values of non-competitive open sharing of ideas and providing valuable services to our members, as our founders originally envisioned.

The first CEdMA Europe Conference was held at the IBM International Education Centre in La Hulpe Belgium on 15 Sep 1994.

With exception of the pandemic years in 2020 and 2021, we've offered our members in-person conferences where latest learning trends & technology was discussed and reviewed and Best-Practices were shared. Another key aspect of each conference is the networking between our CEdMA Enterprise members.

We are looking forward to welcome our members in London from Nov 18-20, 2024 for our 60th conference. Our theme will be: "Scaling your training business through innovation and best practices".
