6 x EASY WAYS to BOOST your METABOLISM (without even trying!)

Your Metabolic rate is the amount of fuel/energy/calories your body requires (or use's) for every single cellular, hormonal, Digestive system, Circulatory system, Lymph, Muscular, Cardio-Pulmonary, Organ or Gland function your body performs (thats quite a lot!) to sustain, maintain & repair your body (constantly) in order to keep you functioning normally (i.e. alive)

Metabolic rate can be determined as either BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the (absolute) minimum amount of food (fuel/calories) your body requires each day just to maintain your weight, health & existence i.e ALL bodily functions...

....Think "Couch Potato" hardly moving or doing anything particulaly rigorous or demanding to sustain your BMR.

On the other hand your BEE (Basal Energy Expenditure) is the amount of fuel/calories you (actually) require based on the amount of physical expenditure based on your daily activities (exercise, physical demands or energy expenditure) to maintain weight & sustain health & wellness....

The MORE physical work you do? Whether this is gardening, cleaning, walking or exercise (& in WHICH specific "Energy system" or indeed HOW demanding this might be?) Will ALL determine HOW much MORE calories/fuel you require per day (just) to maintain & sustain Weight, Health & Wellness (i.e. ALL bodily functions)

STOP PRESS!!! However, there are SEVERAL ways in which you CAN BURN more "calories" per day or BOOST your Metabolic rate - without even trying!

This article IS NOT ABOUT EXERCISE or TRAINING AT ALL

This article is for those of your who might not like exercising or (think) have no time to train.

HERE ARE A FEW LITTLE TRICKS & SUPER-TIPS THAT EVERYONE CAN USE TO REGULATE WEIGHT OR EVEN HELP LOSE A FEW POUNDS....

  1. "Thermic" foods: Anything that is HOT & Spicy? Chilli, Wasabi, Curry etc or that contain commands that actually raise your metabolic rate such as Cinnamon are an EXCELLENT (complimentary) to help naturally boost your metabolic rate....In fact it has been speculated that these "HOT" foods can potentially raise your metabolic rate by as much as 30-50% for several hours after consumption!!
  • The Above photo shows a selection of Spice that I personally use (when I want to get in shape fast) Turmeric, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Ginger Powder & Cayenne Pepper or HOT chilli powder.
  • Mix together a 1/4 of a teaspoon of each in a little warm (post boiled) water & then just "down the hatch" taking this 1 or 2 x day is fantastic for those who want to incorporate this homemade "THERMIC-T" recipe into a weight loss plan.

2. Hot Treatments: Hot Baths, Saunas or Steam rooms "force" our body's to COOLDOWN. Heat treatments obviously raise our body's "CORE" temperature & so the side-effect of perspiring actually helps us regulate our body temperature in helping us cool down. This process USE's EXTRA CALORIES, in doing so it elevates calorific "demand" - Thus helping with weight loss/management, water retention, & helps improve skin tone/complexion (i.e. clearing pores)

  • DO watch out if you have high Blood Pressure though as this would be a contra-indicated means to employ if this was a concern.

3. Cold Treatments: Much in the same way that "Heat" treatments force the body to cool down. The opposite is true with Cold Treatments such as Ice-baths or Cryotherapy. Cold treatments (which can be painful!) force your body to heat up (BOOSTING metabolic rate) to maintain a "normal" core body temperature of around 38.5 otherwise hypothermia would set in!

  • Did you know that cold treatments also stimulate "Brown Fat" production (thermo-genesis) We have small deposits of Brown fat within certain areas of the body such as the Back, Chest or Neck. Stimulating Brown Fat reserves has an almost magical CALORIFIC BOOSTING effect - As well as being useful for injury rehabilitation & muscle recovery post exercise. 4. Negative "Calorie" foods: A negative Calorie food is anything that takes the body MORE energy to digest, process & utilise than it actually gives us through its energy or calorific value. Think, MOST forms of salary type vegetables which is partly WHY eating a lot of salads & low starch foods help with weight loss...As we literally eat less than our body NEEDS & these foods are more troublesome to process (from an energy point of view!) They are however FULL of Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, Photo-nutrients & Trace elements ALL of which are essential to maintain GOOD cellular health & Wellness!

5. Super-Hydration: Hydration is absolutely essential for us to LIVE! Most people are living in a constant state of dehydration. This is wreaking havoc on your health, wellness & YOUR ABILITY TO BURN FAT! Drinking more water (than you think you need?) can help reduce your appetite (preventing you from over-eating) Staying fully hydrated helps BOOST energy levels, increase certain bodily functions, assists with Elimination & helps Organs such as the Liver, Kidney, Digestive System & Heart etc...The more water you have in your body (generally) the less taxing it is for MOST of our organs to work properly (efficiently/Optimally)

  • Use a very simple formula to make sure you are drinking the minimum amount of water your body requires per day like this - Take your BODYWEIGHT in Kg (multiply this number) x 0.03 = Minimum Litres of Water (per day) you need....If you exercise a lot or sweat profusely you need to drink MORE for the amount of water LOST through perspiration!

6. Natural Stimulants & Appetite Suppressants: Using everyday food/drink items (as a BOOSTER) which are natural stimulants, appetite suppressants or that elevate hormones like Coffee & Tea (Caffeine) along with the incorporation of "Hot" foods & certain other compounds found in fruits such as Grapefruit (Naringin) or Pineapple (Bromelein) or by taking things like Vitamin B3 (Niacin) which raises natural Growth Hormone Levels. even low doses of Aspirin (White Willow Bark) in conjunction with "things that work well together" are just complimentary measures that Can & DO help if you can be consistent with what you are eating/consuming (or how you are exercising)

  • Stay OFF Alcohol, Fructose (HSCS) Grains, Dairy, Simple Sugars, Processed Foods & White (refined) salt (these are ALL of the Nasty things that retain water or encourage FAT retention in all your worst places!) FOR ONE MONTH (without even training) Making sure you INCORPORATE ALL OF THE TIPS ABOVE! & I will GUARANTEE you WILL be looking & Feeling a completely different person....
