6 Ways to Journey Through 2019

6 Ways to Journey Through 2019

In 2018 I shared a great deal of both successes and failures. If life was simply a joyride, you’d probably only see the good. But it’s not; life is a journey.

And no journey is without detour (not the usual or an unfamiliar route), running out of gas (no money to fulfill your dreams/goals), making the wrong turn (usually because you wouldn’t ask for directions (help) or you were following someone you had no business following), hitting potholes (life distractions), reaching dead ends (when all your hard work and efforts seemed to have led you nowhere), and facing a fork in the road in which you are so afraid about making the wrong decision that fear paralyzes you . . . so you do nothing . . . you stop right there . . . you give up, because you’d rather make no decision at all and just stand there than to make the wrong choice and risk failure, embarrassment, and not meet yours and others’ expectations.

Well, I’ve got some not so great news for you. In 2019, the journey continues, so there are still going to be both successes and failures.

But the great news, my friend, is there are six ways to journey through 2019:

1) You don’t and you shouldn’t have to travel it alone (get you a tribe or check your current one— you should be surrounded by people who encourage, motivate, inspire, push, pull, and even drag you if need be)

2) Plan/map out your 2019 (don’t expect the worst, but at least plan for it so that you will have options and choices already in place)

3) Put five on it (reaching visions, dreams, and goes takes faith, hard work and money, and usually it’s the latter that becomes an issue; So if you don’t have all of the money and resources to do what it is you have set out to accomplish, just put five on it for now . . . put it on layaway, pay on it until you have everything you need to move forward, but until then, leave the car right there on the side of the road and walk it out!)

4) Life happens, but don’t let it throw you off track . . . forever (learn to compartmentalize and keep it moving)

5) When the product of your dream, vision, or goal doesn’t seem to be moving, that means that you are not moving . . . in the right direction (so turn around and try another route, and another route, and another if need be)

6) Don’t forget to call on your tribe for their honest advice, feedback, and direction (and remember that God is not only a member of your tribe He’s the president)

So if you’ve been fretting about how you’re going to make it through 2019, it’s quite simple: You’re going to walk it out and pray it out, all while dancing to the beat of your own drum and enjoying the journey!

Happy New Year!!!

Always celebrate your joy and accomplishments. If it's even by yourself. Have an awesome day and blessings always!

Amen to that my dear sister. I love the narration, words and message.? They flow wonderfully well down the page and are very impacting. I pray more people will read and become familiar with the vision. Great job and blessings always!
