6 Ways To Find Your Coaching Niche

So far I have helped more than 500+ professionals, entrepreneurs in their personal and professional life. I am starting this weekly newsletter to help the aspiring and existing coaches, trainers to grow in their coaching business.

When we have a problem related to teeth we visit a dentist. When we have a problem related to heart we visit a cardiologist. Similarly, for every problem we have an expert who can help us to solve it more effectively in a time bound manner. Same principle holds true in coaching industry too. If you want to build your authority and credibility then it is very important that you should focus on ONE specific problem for ONE specific target audience (read the example above).

I am sure most of you know this but what many coaches struggle with is 'how to do find it?' Is there any formula to it or is there any standard template that they can follow to find their profitable niche? So here are 6 ways which I share with the mastermind coaches. trainers and help them to become clear on their Niche & target market. Let's go:

1) Passion

Your niche can be something that you are passionate about in your day to day life. Anything that you love doing, learning, teaching, watching and studying. You can start teaching it to others and become an expert in that field.

Example: You are passionate about reading books, you can start teaching students/professionls/entrepreneurs on how to stay consistent with reading. Another can be communication...?

2) Pain

We all go through some kind of challenge/problem/pain in our life. If you can convert that mess into a message for someone then it can be your successful niche which can earn your profits for your business. It can be any kind of personal loss or pain in life or business - any challenge that you?have overcame, personal discovery/voyage, hunt for solution.

Example: Any form of emotional trauma, loss (personal or professional) can be converted into a message for others.

3) Practice

Your niche can be something that you are practicing from years. It can be any topic that you are willing to practice day and night. Because you are practicing it over the years so you are already an expert in that topic and have the deep knowledge of the subject.

Example: Any habit that you are practicing over the years. Another example is of dentists, physiotherapists (they can also become a coach/consultant and start helping their target audience).

4) Performance

Your niche can be related to your performance. Is there any subject on which you have high level of natural ability? Again it can be related to personal or professional profermance.

Example: Selling, copywritting. If you are a great performer in sales and generated good results for your organisation/company then you can become think of becoming a sales coach/consultant.

5) Personality

You can also choose a subject that fits your personality as your niche. In this includes a lot of image consultants who can help others to become better in their personality development.

6) Profitability

Your experience, profitiability can also become something that you can pick as your niche. Let's say you can be entrepreneur who have generated a lot of profit using a product or service to enhance people's live. You can start teaching the same to other entrepreneurs/concerned target audience and build your authority in that subject.
