6 tips to reinforce your inbound service offering

Do you remember the last time you were in a foreign country? Let's imagine you need to purchase milk for your breakfast, - but don't speak the language - would you be able to make the difference between semi-skimmed milk, almond milk, fermented milk, cow's milk versus camel's milk? They might all look similar in the supermarket, but hell they definitely don't generate the same positive impact in your breakfast.

This is probably how your prospects are feeling in front of services such as SEA, SEO, Inbound, Ads, Social Media, Landing Pages, Pillar pages, etc. There are more than 100 #inbound services in the market and you are the expert that is able to help your customer select the right tools and services to better solve their challenge(s).

1. SELECT YOUR INBOUND SERVICES 

What type of services do you want to deliver?

As a provider of Inbound tools or inbound services, you might want to spell out which inbound services you want to offer. Are you credible as a growth specialist? Do you do inbound marketing? inbound sales? inbound services? 


2. DEFINE YOUR PLAYGROUND

Will you Attract? Engage? Delight? All together?

Once you are clear on what makes you You - in terms of services - your next step is to define the scope of your playground. If you do Marketing, are you focusing on generating leads? on nurturing them? on retaining them? All together? 


3. PACKAGE YOUR INBOUND OFFERING

How are you solving for your customers?

Offering a list of services doesn't help your customer solve his/her problem, it is just confusing him/her on where should he/she start. Instead what about offering packages based on your customers challenges or needs.

Not all customers can have the luxury to sign a 12 month contracts at a high rate without first building a case with real data for the person they report to. How are you helping these customers to choose you over others? What option do you have to test the fit?


5. POSITION YOUR FIRM

Positioning impact the rates you will be charging.

Positioning can impact the quantity and quality of the leads you generate. It can elevate or depreciate your reputation as a thought leader in your industry space and thus make the difference in how you can price your services.

The core topic area would be the core solution you solve for. Try to avoid generic terms and instead tailor around your audience’s language. Use words that are split into subtopic areas to show a broad range of capability and relevance.
