Why do most New Year's resolutions fail?
Another year has passed and this one in particular we were all very keen to see it go.
We could not wait for the new 2021 to come.
Somehow,we see the New Year as a new beginning, an opportunity to start over, and most of us create vision boards, make plans, set goals, to create a magical new year
We start very enthusiastically, to make various promises to ourselves, such as having a healthy diet, working out, reading more, learning a skill, start meditating, create time for yourselves, open or scale your business, change careers, leave or find a new loving boyfriend, move to a different city or country, and many other different goals.
However, how many of you really go through with your goals?!?
What really happens to us so that most of our goals remain just goals written on a piece of paper?
Usually this is what happens:
Life happens, we start to doubt ourselves and other times some of our friends tell us it is not a good idea, or why now, or why would you do that and so on or they tell us we won't make it.
I wanted to start the 75Hard challenge on the 1st of January, and typically people would say , but wait till the holidays are over, or I will join you on the 10th let's do it together, or this is too hard on yourself do not do it, or you will not make it. You know what I decided to stop buying other people's opinion and my own excuses and just start. So I did on the 2nd of January.
We allow others opinion, our low self esteem that usually comes out of NO ACTION and just plans and false promises to ourselves to interfere in our goals and plans.
Let's change that this year, shall we?
How would you like to be able to achieve those goals, or at least most of them?
Here are 6 tips to make sure you are on track:

This is very important because it will always be there to remind you what you will gain if you follow through your plan or goal. What will that bring to you, or what will you lose. People are driven by two things, avoiding pain or gaining pleasure. So write down your pain and pleasure points.

Commit and make no compromise with yourself and of course if you feel like quiting, or not following through just read your "why" again.

When we say our goals, or promises outloud, somehow we are leaning towards achieving them or we will ashamed of not doing it and not keeping our words. This is a great way to keep you on track, say it out loud, go live, make a post, say it in a group, announce it.

It is very easy to go into your own trap of excuses. Some goals make us feel uncomfortable, so we tend to go back in comfort and find million of excuses why you should not follow through. Do not buy your own excuses and instead find a way through.

We need to create small steps that will bring you closer to your goal. Write them down, and write a time or date you will complete it. Chose the first step that will bring you closer to your goal, and then the next one until you complete your goal. Do not forget to track your progress and celebrate small wins.

Last but most important tip is hold yourself accountable or find someone who will. When you have someone checking on you, and someone you report to, someone who will celebrate your wins with you, and help you stay on track.
