6 Tips for an Absolute Self Love!

When we asked 500 people to score their Self Love out of 10, a 16.5% of the group gave themselves a score of 7/10 - being the highest score! Only a small percentage had scored themselves 10/10!
When we spoke with them to understand the parameters on which they had given the score for their Self Love, we identified that most of them had based their Self Love on how they pamper themselves. Like, the vacations that they take, how they take care of their physical health, hanging out with friends, partying, shopping, gifting themselves expensive gadgets, jewellery and a belief ‘I’m alright’!
When we asked the group ‘If the above activities mean that ‘you Love yourself’….then why is it still a 7/10? Why not an absolute 10/10? What’s not allowing you to Love yourself completely?’
The common response was ‘The feeling stays for some time and after that we go back to the old state of Mind. The past memories of Guilt, Blame, hurt & trauma comes back. Regrets from the past make theses feeling even worse!
This simply shows that Self Love is never about anything that you do ‘External’.
Then what’s Self Love? How do one Love Self 100%, without allowing anything or anyone else to disturb it?

1.????100% Self Love – Not a Myth!
?Let’s look at the other way round…can you have a 99.999% Love for your loved ones? No, isn’t it? Because, when you love someone, it’s always 100%. And the same applies for Self too! You can’t deprive yourself even a 0.0001% less love, because you deserve to Love yourself!

2.????Facts, minus the Ambiguity!
?Anything that gives you a short-term relief, like the above activities, is NOT Self Love! Even Self Care is possible ONLY when you Love yourself!

3.????What does you Past tell you?
?The major Self Love killers are our memories from our Past, taking us in the downward spiral of Guilt, Blame, Regrets & Shame! Can you walk with a thorn in your feet? Nope! Self love starts with getting rid of all these emotions from your past from your beautiful Mind!

?When we revisit our Past, how clear are we with this question? How much Understanding do we hold about our actions in our Past? Greater the Understanding, Absolute is your Self Love!

1 年Forgiveness becomes easier when Self-love has a greater presence .and sadly forgiveness can be more difficult when our minds are filled with intrusive thoughts. Especially intrusive thoughts from our past.
