1. Outgrowing friendships is a positive sign.
Often times, the death of old friendships is framed through the lens of failure. It may actually be a sign of your growth and recognition of old relationships holding you back. Not all friendships are supposed to last a lifetime.
2. You don't need to prove yourself to anyone.
You will save so much time and energy the moment that you realise you have nothing to prove and that the judgement you receive from others isn’t yours to hold on to.
3. An awareness of others is an awareness of yourself.
The things you notice and judge in others are mirrors to the things you notice and judge within yourself.
4. Nobody can make you feel anything.
People may?do?things that can trigger certain emotion, but the processing, decision-making and power lies within you. You have more power than you may sometimes realise.
5. Your parents are flawed beyond belief.
As soon as you release the conditioning that our parents are ethereal, god-like and faultless beings, you are able to acknowledge that their flaws and treatment of you is reflective of them and not of you.
6. Everybody has some degree of trauma.
Experiencing and holding trauma is part of the human condition. Nobody makes it through life unharmed. When we’re willing to face, process and heal from our trauma, we often reveal the hidden gifts and learnings concealed within the darkness. When we avoid trauma, we relive it continuously.
