6 things I learned working as a videographer?? in the past 5 years

Learning on the Fly:

  • ?? You learn as you go, sometimes literally “on the spot” – many times I took on challenges bigger than me and learned so much on the go, it makes you adapt to the situations, and in the end, level up. The more challenges I took, the faster I learned and my business grew!

Networking is Key:

  • ?? Forget sales pitches. Over 80% of my clients come through word-of-mouth connections. Strike up conversations build genuine bonds at shoots and co-working spaces, and people will remember you for who you are.

Know Your Worth:

  • ?? Know your worth, it’s okay to say no – whether it’s to an underpaid project/client, or it’s to take a break – prioritizing my values and mental health has always worked best for me,?and in the end, bigger/more paying projects came right after!

Collaboration is Cool:

  • ?? It’s okay to ask for help! I used to be one of those people that want to do everything on my own, the task took me 3 times longer to do, but at least I did it on my own right? I started asking for help from my fellow colleagues, my friends, people that know more than me, and that does not make you look less professional, it actually made me connect with some people even more.

Travel is Fun, But Home is Where the Business Grows:

  • ?? Travelling for work is great, but staying in one place is the best for your business growth

Be Yourself, It Pays Off:

  • ??? Stay true to yourself, even if things don't always go perfectly. Remember, a setback isn't the end of the story, just another chapter waiting to unfold.
