The 6 Steps- Niche
Bill Squires Business Coaching
Working with ambitious Business Owners to build their businesses, improve profitability and motivate their teams - taking good businesses and making them GREAT!
So we have mastery under control, our business is running smoothly, we've got a good understanding of the figures and time is being viewed as our greatest asset.
As we move on to the 2nd step we address Niche.
Stop competing on price. Businesses should only compete on price if there is absolutely nothing unique about what they offer. My first question would be simple- what is unique about what you offer?
If the only information you offer is price then all you will be judged on is the price.
This is where we need to train our marketing team and sales team to make sure prospects make decisions based on value, not price.
Discounting is one of the fastest ways to put yourself out of business. This is the dreaded ‘D word’; never mutter!
When you discount it’s simple, you start to attract customers who want cheap prices, and there will always be businesses that will be able to match or beat your prices.
In niche, we create predictable cash flow, by systematically improving the five factors that increase the number of customers we have, our revenues and our profit.
This focuses massively on how you market yourself, finding a company’s USP - “unique selling proposition” to add value to each and every transaction.
How do you view marketing? What ?
As soon as you view marketing as a cost, you’ve lost.
Marketing is an investment, never forget that. An investment that if done correctly, can greatly impact the bottom line.
