ATTRACTION: The commencement of an employee’s journey with an organization is often misunderstood by the recruitment process, it rather commences with the first time they hear about an organisation from its employees or any other person or information associated with it. Therefore, establishing a brand is a must because the promising employee won’t join an organization that doesn’t represent itself. Also, it will affect organization’s employee retention too. As the maximum number of employees prefers to work in a well-recognized organization.

2.?RECRUITMENT: The recruitment process isn’t only about evaluating and selecting candidates. It also gives employee chance to look at your organization’s culture and way of working which help him/her to understand that if he/she is a good fit for this organization or not. Hiring an employee who aligns with the organization culture makes subsequent stages of the employee cycle constructive.

3.?ONBOARDING: It is a very crucial step as it involves a lot and is not that easy, to make an employee high performing and satisfied he/she must be fully equipped with the nuances of his/her position and organization’s expectation from them. This makes a difference between a growing employee and one who struggles with his job requirements and departs early. The process of introducing employees to their position and team is also known as orientation or induction.

4.?RETENTION: The challenge to retain employee start as soon as they are hired. It is on organizations to earn loyalty and create trust in their employees. Most organizations ignore this aspect of the employee cycle and later regret it because hiring a new employee incurs a cost. Practicing recognition, developing a winning culture and focusing on the quality of team leaders are some effective ways of boosting employee’s retention.

5.?DEVELOPMENT: The development of an employee includes everything from advancing them in their career to acquiring new skills. The employee must witness positive growth in themselves. This part of the employee cycle is important for organizations too because the professional growth of employees will be directly proportionate to the growth of an organization. Moreover, developing your workforce affects every other part of the employee life cycle as well. Your employee tends to remain in the organization that support their growth and will always give positive feedback to the organization.

6.?SEPARATION : No matter how much organization do, to ensure valued employee stays till retirement but many will decide to continue their careers elsewhere for one or another reason. However, the organization should make sure that an employee departure should not be a negative experience instead, view it as a chance to turn your former employee into a lifelong advocate for your organization.Organization should Change their perspective and start treating the goal of the offboarding process as helping employees take the next steps of their career journey with dignity and confidence.
