Soon the noise dies down and everybody goes about their normal business until another organisation sinks.
One cannot but wonder if the factors that lead to the demise of these businesses could not have been avoided.
Weren't there signs to show the major decision-makers in the organisation that the business was on its way to the ground?
The factors that will be examined today emanate from;
The purpose of today's newsletter is to open the eyes of budding entrepreneurs to some of the common but deadly mistakes that have led to the demise of great businesses.
Sin Number 1: Disunity
Once there is disunity in a team the system begins to wither. It kills businesses silently.
Take the body system for example. When cells start fighting themselves it becomes a problem for the whole body.
You have to let every member of your team understand how each complimenting part functions for the overall good of the organisation.
The Bible says in Mark 3:25 that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Disunity in a team is even more dangerous if the employer or leader is the one behind it.
Some of the things that cause disunity in a team are:
Sin Number 2: Lack Of Finance Or Improper Accounting
Money is like a lubricant to any business system and the lack of it can stifle the best of dreams.
Improper accounting can also crash your business. It opens you up to needless leakages and sometimes, fraud.
In John 12:6, it was mentioned that Judas was stealing money from the purse of JESUS INC. but nothing was done about it.
Since you are not Jesus, you have to take intentional steps to block financial leakages as well as create a proper accounting reporting system.
Sin Number 3: Lack Of A Proper Business System
?A business system is simply a set of processes and procedures that have been intentionally created to uniquely govern the running of a business.
It ensures that each functioning part of an organisation works effortlessly together to achieve its goal.
When your business has no proper system, you will not be able to measure and ascertain if your goals are being achieved.

Sin Number 4: Lack Of A Proper Understanding Of The Needs Of The Market
Businesses need to carry out periodic market analysis to understand the needs of their target market.
Data from the research will help position your product or service to be more relevant to your target market.
You have to also create avenues for your target market to provide feedback that can be mined to gain insight.
Luke 14:31
Sin Number 5: Rigidity
Rigidity is a refusal to consider other viable options in the face of changing trends or valid data. A rigid person or system will frustrate the business' growth opportunities.
People who are rigid tend to knowingly or unknowingly frustrate innovation because it goes against their traditional practices. They stifle progress and most times, fight change in the organisation and team.
They act the way they do because their minds have not expanded beyond the horizon of their scope of understanding and insight.
In this fast-paced changing world, every organisation has to keep thinking of better ways to serve customers, save their time, as well as create a pleasant experience.
This is not to say that ideas should be accepted without properly testing for viability, and analysing the cost of implementation.
Revelations 3:20, Mark 2:22, Matthew 25: 25 to end
Sin Number 6: Shoddy Service Delivery
Many businesses have been punished by customers because of poor service delivery.
The way you deliver your service speaks loudly of how you see your customer(s) and also, determines if you will gain their loyalty.
Organisations that deliver shoddy services reflect the mindset of their decision-makers.
Businesses that focus solely on profit often care less about their service delivery, forgetting that quality of service has a voice and will continue to speak even after the transaction is completed.
As a believer, you have been called by God to showcase his excellence and goodness through your brand, business and/or product.
Does your service delivery accurately represent our Lord Jesus Christ?
Colossians 3:17, Matthew 25:21
I pray that the mercy of God keeps you from making any costly mistake that will bring you and your business to shame, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
