6 Reasons for lack of disruption in hospitality

Hospitality is slower in presenting disruption and adapting innovation.?
Mainly because its business model is highly concentrated in; customer experience, related to infrastructure and services offered, and growth strategy, always connected to more rooms, MICE and F&B areas.?
While yields are king and startups are slowly being introduced, here are six reasons?entrepreneurs?and inventors have difficulty penetrating the sector:
- Perception of growth doesn't come from new generations' services or tech.?
- Everyone is so busy. It's a high operation job that even the decision makers are so close to daily operations and customers that there's no time to think out of the box.?
- Better and disruptive interior design and upgrading legacy services are the norms.
- Spread data. Most hospitality brands/ chains use different technologies that don't communicate.?
- Reaching the right person. Hotel ownership management or brand operation management? Responsibility rules vary between hotels, making getting to the "Boss" challenging.?
?- There are not enough Future Hospitality Summits worldwide to help reduce the gap by creating a more innovative and sustainable sector.?
It was a fantastic outcome for the Future Hospitality Summit . Over 40 new projects applied to the Startup Den, and we had five finalists with a promising future on the stage.?
Congrats to all teams involved! The Future is here. I'm looking forward to the next Future Hospitality Summit.?
