- The Habit of Doing More Than Paid for
When you as a leader will show your team the willingness to work overtime and show results, your team will never step back from taking up additional responsibilities. It is a commendable quality of a leader to do what he/she expects from his team. If a leader can be true to his team, he can easily win their trust and confidence.
- A Pleasing Personality
I personally love working with a person with a pleasing personality. Pleasing personality here refers to a person’s quality to stay hygienic and have good habits and mannerisms. You have to develop good habits and hygienic qualities to entice your team to do the same. A pleasing personality definitely attracts team members around to follow their team leader. How amazing it is if a team member would want to be a reflection of his leader, right?
- Sympathy & Understanding
The whole idea of a team sitting together for a tea break or weekend lunches is purely to build a connection with the team and understand their personal and professional woes. If a leader cannot step into the shoes of others, he will never be able to sympathize with them in their difficult times. A leader can do this by personally connecting with each one of the team members and make them feel like a part of the team.

If you as a team member are stuck at work and want a solution for it, your first instinct is to reach out to the team leader, why? Well, you think that the leader has appropriate knowledge and experience that can help you come out of the problem. Hence, a team leader should work harder to understand the project and work accordingly, otherwise, you will never be able to aid your team in successfully completing the project on time.

An accountable and trustworthy leader enables his followers to enhance their performance and growth. Whenever you find yourself in the position of a leader, think about the people under you and how they are depending on your knowledge and experience. They should know that if they are at fault, you are there for them to take full responsibility. A heartfelt leader makes a team of great future leaders.

Cooperation is of high importance in the professional world, reason being, a great team, and teamwork demons cooperation and trust. If you aren’t able to provide your team cooperation and trust, then you are not building a team of great workers. The aim of a leader is to build a team that stays with you in the long run and enables you as a leader to seamlessly complete projects with great confidence and courage.
Every leader has a style of leading a team which is perfectly alright; however, please remember that a few things that matter the most are trust in your team members, understanding amongst each other, and comfort level. If your team is open with you and wants to talk about new ideas, concepts, and execution plans, you are definitely on the right path.
