Let us not kid ourselves anymore. The winds are changing and it is time we acknowledge and adapt. The current structures and models of workforce management are proving to be ineffective every passing day.
Companies are finding it harder to hire the right talent for their business.
The talent they finally hire, stay for a very short period of time.
This vicious cycle is expensive.
60% of a company's operating expenses are spent on compensation & Benefits of its employees.
The current structure of employment is designed for the industrial era. The knowledge and digital era are very different and talent capabilities at its core will define success or failure of a company.
Yet we follow the models made for the industrial era. We continue the designations, promotion cycles, increments, team structures. This does not seem to solve the problem and we conveniently fix the reason on ‘Millennials’.
Yet we to do very little to solve it. We fail to look at the model & ask…
Is it still relevant?
It is time to rethink our models.

7 年Great one Chaiths ! I loved the fluid work force terminology. True - the quick embracement of organizations both culturally and tech will survive - the brick and mortar or click and mouse organizations will be put to test ! One in every 2 enterprise will perish by not embracing this change.
