Too many times people do not focus on themselves. Whether you are married, raising kids, in a relationship, or even enjoying being single, we get so caught up with deadlines, meetings, or projects that we forget to find time for ourselves.
Burnout due to stress from work has become so widespread because a lot of us are just sitting in front of the screen all day. Getting to take time off to recenter has not been on the top of the to-do list.
Did you know that creating a daily list of non-negotiables is one of the most powerful things to adopt to help you be successful in life? You don’t need to look any further; here is a list of the six (6) non-negotiables that should be on your list every day.
First, find time to work out at least three (3) times a week. When you are active, you relieve yourself of pent-up energy from work-related stress, and you release endorphins or what others call happy hormones too.
Second, hit calories and macros within ten percent (10%) of your daily diet. Most people underestimate the number of calories they eat by around 25-30%. So you have to make sure you are being accurate when you track.? Focus on consistency so you can create results.?
Third, make sure you get at least 7-9 hours of sleep at night. When your body is at rest, this is the most vital time for metabolic processes. Your body recovers from exercise, your cells regenerate, your brain gets a break and restores to optimum function.

Fourth, you should drink at least 3-4 liters a day. If you are over 95 kgs, you should be drinking 6 liters or more. Our bodies are roughly made up of 60% water, and drinking enough water aids in digestion. You will need to drink more water and add electrolytes if you live in hotter climates.
Fifth, don’t forget to increase your non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT). Did you know that your general activities like walking your dog or doing daily house chores can accumulate to calories burned? Always make certain you are getting your steps in. You can even opt to get a step tracker, so you don’t forget to hit your daily steps goal.?
Lastly, have an overall nutrient-dense diet. Don’t go overboard on any diet that is hot at the moment. That will never work. You can choose to pick singular item foods like chicken breast, apple, or lettuce. Stay away from processed foods and carbonated drinks. You know you can’t eat those if you want to lose the extra weight.
