#6 most LinkedIn views in 6 weeks. How I did it at InsideSales.com in half the time
Here is step by step, how I leveraged 6 daily habits to accelerate my LinkedIn presence within one of the 4 UNICORN SaaS companies along the Silicon Slopes--InsideSales.com
1. Be Friendly--No discrimination in my requests. I welcome requests to connect from anyone but by ex-wife. Don't discriminate here...it takes too long!
2. Happy Birthday--Birthdays are the one day a year that people truly look at their list of social media connections. I remember anyone who has wished me happy birthday on LinkedIn. This step creates fresh activity, which the LinkedIn analytics prefer as they raise or lower your ranking.
3. Write bold posts that offend at least 30% of the readers. Take a real life moment from work, write about it...bitch about it...vent about it...collaborate with your community to find a better way. This could be your ONLY platform big enough to get attention of C-Level execs. It also gets people to read and benefit from your experience in sales.
4. Like a Lot
5. Don't worry about the rules. Who cares if LinkedIn shuts you down for a day...how many views did your controversial post get? What impact did that have on your ranking? Up or down? Rules constrict and slow down your profile #'s. Ignore the rules, take risks, get noticed.
6. Check regularly--I went to Yellowstone for a week with my kids this summer. Epic journey!! No internet connection for one week meant I dropped a ton in my LinkedIn ranking. I could have taken the steps to ensure activity, even while on paid vacation. Tips include: Have a 7 part series on a topic, or, hire a virtual assistant to maintain your activity. If you don't log in, you move down. That's been my experience so far.
In software SaaS sales you only get one chance to earn credibility. LinkedIn is the easiest and most used method in B2B sales. Keep it clean, classy, funny, and memorable. Anything else is just noise.
