7 Months of Elevate & Celebrate

7 Months of Elevate & Celebrate

Time flies when you're having fun (and planning events, right?). As we head into 2025, I wanted to take a minute to reflect on Elevate & Celebrate—a newsletter I launched in late May after connecting with a lot of people who were thrown into event planning as part of their "duties as assigned" in their job description. The people I connected with were commenting on posts and asking questions when I would post about event related topics.

So, I started this newsletter because I love talking events and sharing ideas on how events can be done different! When I started this newsletter, my goal was simply to share the lessons I’ve learned from my event planning journey and to help others tackle the “other duties as assigned” that often come with planning events. What I didn’t expect was connecting with people who engaged with the newsletter, asked questions and shared their own event challenges and triumphs along the way.

In 2024, I managed to get out 15 newsletters. I'd hoped to get one out weekly, but life and my full-time job keep me pretty busy! I covered topics from using AI to streamline event planning tasks and treating events as marketing campaigns to the essentials—event timelines, budgeting tips, and everything in between (which of course always included mention of branded merch - because it's kind of my day job!), it's been fun to share.

Thanks to everyone who has followed along - everyone who has read, commented, or shared Elevate & Celebrate. My hope is that Elevate & Celebrate brought you actionable advice, a fresh perspective, or even a moment of inspiration in your event planning journey.

Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to keep up the newsletter. That's where you come in - I’d love to hear from you:

  • What challenges are you facing in event planning?
  • What topics would you like to hear about in the year ahead?
  • What epic events are you planning!?

See you in 2025!

P.S. If you know someone who's been roped into being an accidental event planner, send them this way!
