6 Marketers, 8 Trainers, 24 hours in Delft

Webinars are great. Video calls are effective. YouTube tells us how to do everything. Instant Messaging & Slack are replacing email & transforming the way we work.

So, face to face training is a waste of money. Right?

Wrong. It’s probably the best money you will spend all year

Last week in Delft we brought together a group of people from across Emerson's European marketing community for a marketing training course. They sat in the room & the trainers stood at the front. But the flow of information was very much two-way. Because were face to face.

So everyone learnt something: both trainers & trainees. We learnt about each other, what we didn’t know, what we already knew, what we thought we knew or understood but realised we didn’t. We saw surprise, confusion, realisation, agreement, and, best of all, understanding.

Face to Face. Invaluable.

This 2-minute video probably won’t tell you anything you don’t already know. But it might just make a difference to what you do

“Face to face communication is nothing new, so why does the world act like it is? In this vlog we examine the value of face to face communication and look at some interesting facts about the value of a face to face conversation.”
