B2B Growth Strategist Guide To Avoid ??6 Hidden Costs of Hiring A Ghostwriter

You're a busy entrepreneur.

You're always swamped with work.

And you're struggling to keep up with deadlines.

So you've got to figure out a way to keep up.

And what do you do??

You decide to hire a ghostwriter so you can finally breathe again and try to get?back to a?normal, less stressful routine.

But you don’t realize…

The digital marketplace is changing so rapidly that if you’re too far removed from your ideal clients you’ll lose touch with them.

When you're too far removed from your ideal clients, you risk losing touch with their evolving needs and desires.

And once you lose touch it's almost like starting over again. Right?

Let's look at this decision from a growth strategist perspective.

Although hiring a?ghostwriter might seem like the perfect solution, there are:

6 hidden costs to consider when hiring a ghostwriter:

  1. Loss of Client Intimacy: Relying solely on a copywriter can prevent you from directly connecting with your audience and truly understanding their unique needs.
  2. Brand Dilution: Your copywriter might not fully grasp the nuances of your brand voice or the specific language that resonates with your ideal clients, leading to inconsistent messaging and a diluted brand identity.
  3. Inauthenticity: The version of you they get IRL might differ from your online persona. This can create a disconnect and erode trust with your audience.
  4. Reduced Sales Effectiveness: If you're not actively involved in the writing/sales process, you may miss crucial insights into client pain points and objections.
  5. Loss of Market Relevance: By delegating 100% of your content strategy, you risk losing touch with the evolving needs and preferences of your target audience.
  6. Diminished Visibility: As your copywriter becomes the voice of your brand, your own visibility and personal brand may suffer.

Instead of outsourcing all your communication, consider a blended approach.

Many entrepreneurs are trading in ghostwriters for a trained AI agent. AI agents don't retire, call in sick, take vacations, have bad days or ask for raises.

Although adding a copywriter to your team may be a good idea, is it the best possible solution for long-term sustainability?

Why not choose a timeless solution that empowers you to build a sustainable and authentic online presence that's?built to last. Because once you have that knowledge no one can ever take it from you.

Food for thought according to AI: A ghostwriter writes content for someone else without receiving public credit for their work, while a copywriter writes persuasive marketing materials for a company or brand, typically with their name attached and aiming to drive sales through the content;?essentially, a ghostwriter remains anonymous, while a copywriter is usually acknowledged for their work.? Key differences:? Credit: Ghostwriters are not credited for their work, whereas copywriters are usually given credit for the content they create.? Purpose: Ghostwriting focuses on capturing someone else's voice and ideas, often for personal projects like memoirs or speeches, while copywriting aims to directly promote products or services through compelling marketing copy.? Client type: Ghostwriters typically work directly with individuals like CEOs or celebrities, while copywriters work with companies or brands to create marketing materials.?

This is highly insightful. As a ghostwriter, I can boldly say these concerns are valid but the good thing is that they can be prevented. Many founders lose client intimacy, unique voice, authenticity and visibility because they either make a mistake in the recruiting process or later yield to the temptation of leaving everything to the ghostwriter. If the ghostwriter actively works with you and familiarise themselves with the brand identity, it wouldn't be a problem at all. Not all writers can do this, it is recommended to find a ghostwriter who specialises in this and not just give the work to a copywriter. The difference is usually clear and you'd know from the first call. I can also share with anyone looking to hire a ghostwriter how they can identify the best one for their brand. Well done Tracy D.
