One of the biggest issues that a brand will face on social media is connecting their brand voice to the proverbial buying ears of users. Social media users = potential clients. Here are 6 essential tips from The G.O.A.T. Academy that will help you build an engaging brand on social media:
Persistence - The social media race isn’t given to the swift or to the one who post the fastest. The race is won by the brand who stays the course. Make sure you post regularly and often. Be intentional and post content rich on quality and not just watered down quantity.
People focused - Even though social media operates in a virtual space keep in mind that on the opposite end lays a person. Treat potential clients relational and don’t just view them transactional. Show them that you care and watch them give your brand their loyalty.
Proactive - I always tell my kids, “It’s way cooler to start a trend then it is to just follow it.” Strive to be a trendsetter and quit settling with just being a trend follower. If you want to set your brand a part on social media while being engaging allow your brand to set trends. as you create content that has the potential to go viral.
Personal - If you truly desire to connect with someone you don’t know be willing to share something about you that they don’t know. Personal connections create...personal connections. Share your “why” and what inspired you to start your business. When users feel connected to a brand personally; they will make purchases emotionally that they will (later) justify intellectually.
Promising - Show signs that your brand has the potential to be great! Signs of growth and future success. No one likes to bet on the loser but they’ll take a chance on a perceived winner. It is your responsibility to convince users that your brand is not just a safe bet but it is the best bet.
Promotable - If you really want to thrive on social media and engage old and new users (potential clients) make sure you create content that is both shareable and promotable. If you can get a user to feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves they’ll promote your brand to the world.
