6 Days to My 10th Anniversary at Lever Interactive

I started this 30-day journey talking about the two-suite office, the cordless phone "system," the bathroom we used as storage, knowing I would be able to share the growth, including our expansion in the Chicago market with a second office we just opened in April 2018.

Lever Interactive Memory: Chicago Office Opens

Just last month, Lever Interactive announced the opening of a second office, located in downtown Chicago. Proud moment for all of us. This gives us more flexibility for our employees as well as an opportunity to meet with clients in a convenient location. We have a few employees housed their permanently and the rest of the team in Lisle uses it for a change of pace, or to work while they have training or meetings in downtown.

Lesson I Learned: Work/Life Choices not Balance

We've all heard the saying, work/life balance. And yes, we all want to achieve that, I recently heard it explained as work/life choices. Balance means you keep things distributed evenly, not able to move things otherwise you are out of balance. Things like your schedule changing or having to be home earlier or work later throws the balance off. With approaching it as choices. You make those choices, and what you are able to do or not do. And if there is a position that requires 50% travel, but you can't with a young family, you make the choice that suits you the best.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of team members and clients. Each and every one has taught me something. And I'm very grateful for all the great people I have met and worked with over the past decade.
