Reading books and learning on a continuous basis are part of who I am. I read and collected a long list of books that inspired me and shifted my perspectives.?I started my journey reading books, summarizing them, and teaching them to my students.
Today, I would like to share some of these books which can enlighten your journey as they did for me as well.
This book was published in 1928 and it tool Napoleon Hills 20 years to write it, based on more than 500 millionaires interviewed. It is not a simple book but the foundation of all the self-improvements books that came after him. It talks about 16 laws of success:
1.The Master Mind. 2.Definite chief Aim 3.Self-confidence 4.The habit of saving 5.Initiative and leadership 6.Imagination 7.Enthusiasm 8.Self-control 9.Habit of doing more than paid for 10. Pleasing personality 11. Accurate thought 12. Concentration 13. Co-operation 14. Profiting by failure 15. Tolerance 16.?The Golden rule.
“Whatever?the mind can conceive?and believe, the mind can achieve.”
Believe in your own dreams.
Practice consistency in everything.
Feed your brain with success-heavy mental food.
Surround yourself with the best kind of people – the uplifting one who are as hungry for success as you are.
Forget the things that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Focus on your goals alone. Don’t over-analyze your action plan. Act on it while the fire is hot."
2. Think and Grow Rich:
This book came after the Law of Success and it remains one of the best-selling books of all time. It focuses mainly on how to grow rich by uplifting your belief system. The five big ideas:
1.The starting point of all achievement is desire. 2.You are the master of your destiny. 3.When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal. 4.Your greatest success will often come just one step beyond the point at which defeat has overtaken you. 5.Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass.
"Everything starts from your thoughts. What you think, you become. Nothing is impossible to the person who backs desire with enduring faith."
3. You can Heal your life:
The author of the book is Louise. Hay. She is one of my favorite authors. The major points of the book are:
1. We are responsible for all our experiences. 2. Every thought we think creates our future. 3. The point of power is always in the present moment. 4. We suffer from self hatred and guilt. 5. We create every so called illness in the body. 6. Resentment, criticism, and guilt are the most damaging patterns. 7. Releasing resentment dissolves even cancer. 8. We must release the past and forgive everyone. 9. We must be willing to learn to love ourselves. 10. Self approval, and self acceptance in the now. 11. When we love ourselves, everything in our life works.
"Life is very simple. What we give out, we get back. We are responsible for the best/worst in our lives.

When we create peace, harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.
Only thing to work on is loving yourself. When we love and accept ourselves exactly as we are, then everything in life works. Health, money, relations become better. Creativity improves. All this without even trying.
Lack of self worth is an indication of not loving ourselves."
4. How to win Friends & Influence People
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie?is a classic book on human behavior and relationships. Here are the three most important points:
1.If you want to be interesting, be interested. 2.Winning people over is all about making them feel good. 3.Investing in relationships is paramount for success.
6 ways to make people like you
1. Become genuinely interested in others. 2. Smile (wholeheartedly) 3. Remember people’s names 4. Listen attentively. Encourage others to talk about themselves. 5. Talk in terms of their interests. 6. Make others feel important (do it sincerely)
?9 ways to change people without causing offense or resentment?
1. Start with praise & appreciation 2. Highlight others’ mistakes indirectly 3. Talk about your own mistakes ?rst 4. Ask questions, don’t issue orders 5. Let others save face 6. Praise any improvement 7. Act as if they were better 8. Make correction seem easy 9. Help them see their bene?ts
Understand, not criticize “Instead of condemning people, let’s try to understand them. Let’s try to figure out why they do what they do. That’s a lot more profitable and intriguing than criticism; and it breeds sympathy, tolerance and kindness.”
5. The Power of your subconscious mind
Joseph Murphy tries to answer contrasting questions like:
1.Why is someone very rich and on the other we have not doing-so-well people?
2.Why is someone really happy and why is someone, only filled with grief and sorrows? 3. Why is one person a great success and another an abject failure? 4.Why is one person genius in profession and another toils all life without doing anything worthwhile? 5.Why prayers of some people are answered and why some are left unattended?
"Your subconscious mind is all wise. It knows answers to your questions."
"Your subconscious mind works according to the law of belief. You must know what belief is, why it works, and how it works. "
"The law of your mind is the law of belief. Believe in the belief itself. Fill your mind with the concepts of harmony, health, peace, and goodwill, and wonders will happen in your life."
6. The Mindset
?One major idea about her book is that success in different areas of our lives is impacted by the way we perceive ourselves. One simple belief can either motivate us or hinder us from evolving. If you believe that you cannot succeed, that you don’t have the qualifications and the abilities, how can you take initiatives and change? the opposite is true.?
“Much of what you think of as your personality actually grows out of this “mindset.” Much of what may be preventing you from fulfilling your potential grows out of it.”
Reading these books is not what will transform your life but applying them in every aspect of your life is what will make you achieve miracles.
