It was an interesting tattoo.? Josh noticed it on our waiter’s forearm, and it was one of the topics we discussed at dinner last night.? It read, “Life is pain.”

It is.? I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer here; however, I know what I resist persists per Carl Jung.? I also know darkness makes me grateful for the light that pierces it.

We all have pain in our lives.? Being in a job you hate is painful.? You need to support your family, yet you feel like you’re dying a slow death.? It’s like nails on a chalkboard times a million.?

Losing your job and doing a job search is painful.? Employers ghost you.? You treat your job search like a job, putting a lot of time and effort into it with little to no results.?

When you’re in pain, what can you do to move through it?

? Be present to your pain.? Acknowledge & sit with it.? Breathe.

?? Keep moving.? Sitting on a fence is painful.? Stay in action, even if it’s a small step.
