5K Walk for Haiti to benefit the Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti!

On today’s Good News show, I’m featuring an interview with Bishop Leon Pamphile, Executive Director of the Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti. He is also a Bishop in the Church of God in Christ in Haiti. Bishop Pamphile is providing information on FLM-Haiti’s annual 5K “Walk For Haiti” and much more.

Due to the pandemic (COVID-19) and social distancing, FLM has decided to have a virtual walk via ZOOM & Facebook Live on May 16th at 10 am. Warm-up starts at 9:30 am led by Roland Ford, Exercise and Fitness Coach. Registration is still open for only $25 at https://www.flmhaiti.org/walk

Also, purchase a t-shirt for $10 when you register for the walk.

For more than 30 years, FLM-Haiti, a Pittsburgh based charity has been working in partnership with the Haitian people providing health care, education, trade skills, and employment to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve. 70+ adult literacy centers in 11+ communities provide reading, writing, and basic math skills to some 2,000+ individuals each year. More than 20,000+ adults have been served.

The interview will air at 4:05 pm (EST) on WGBN AM 1360 and www.wgbnradio.com you can also download the free apps TuneInRadio and SimpleRadio and look for WGBN.
