Everyone is an entrepreneur right now. The guy who cuts my hair. The girl who works out next to me at the gym. Even some of my employees at Genflow have their own side hustle.?

With almost 600 million entrepreneurs out there, why do less than 10% actually survive the hurricane and make it? Because most of them suck at doing the dirty groundwork.

In 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, this is the only strategy that works:?

  • Focusing on making money
  • Putting your ego aside?
  • How to retain customers?

There are too many entrepreneurs who are too busy researching ways to start building their business, and doing it all perfectly. Those are the ones, unfortunately, who are never going to make it big or launch anything successfully.?

I spoke about this in the recent episode of my podcast <link>, that if you want to start your own business, then you need to focus on one thing, and one thing only - making money in your first few years. Forget about company culture, forget about hiring the biggest team or having the fanciest offices. You need to focus on getting more clients, making more sales and actually focusing on revenue in the first few years, and this will ultimately lead to building better systems for your business.?

When I started Genflow, I did every single task in my company. From packaging orders, building websites, making social media calendar plans, coding, signing clients, customer service and trying to raise money at the same time. I didn’t put myself in a box and say “No, I’m the CEO, I shouldn’t be chasing warehouses on orders’. Minding the ego in the first few years, and getting the job done will make you a better entrepreneur, and lead to more $ for your business.?

If you look at some of the biggest brands in the world out there like Disney, Netflix, Amazon and Apple, in their early years, they didn’t think about these things:

- The best marketing

- The best sales teams

- The best product market fit

Instead, they thought about how they can retain their customers and have a strong audience.?

If you think of your business like a funnel where the top is when you get a new customer, and the bottom is when a customer leaves… then your job as an entrepreneur is to keep your customers engaged throughout the entire funnel, and you retain your customers.?

Always be onboarding your customers into the next thing. This is one of the many ways we are keeping our creator brands engaged during this week’s Black Friday activations.

No book will teach you this…

My Podcast – Life of an Entrepreneur

I have employed 200+ people in my entire career so far and most people go through the same thing - they put themselves in boxes.?

In this episode, I share my approach on how you can be more confident and stop thinking you’re not good enough.
