5.....4....3...2..1. Take Action.
It is time to take action. Time does not stop for anyone or anything. Too often, we put things off or find ourselves saying, “Now is not the right time; I will do it once the “right” time comes.” What if I told you that there is no such thing as the “right” time? I invested over ten thousand dollars when I barely had a dime to my name. Most would say that was not the “right” time to invest - I should have saved. However, making that decision led me to double and triple my original investment within a short period of time. If you wait for the “right” time, you will wait forever.?
In last week’s blog, How to TRAIN for Success, I talked about taking action through the Five-Second Rule created by Mel Robbins . The moment you have an idea pop into your head, you have five seconds to act. Acting within those five seconds is critical, otherwise, the likelihood of you talking yourself out of doing whatever thought you had increased significantly. I challenge you to implement this into your life this week and see what happens. Do you find that you often have great ideas but they are quickly dismissed because you don’t act? Maybe, you are more productive because you just do versus waiting. Most of the time, we avoid tasks because we think they will consume more time than what they really do. Drafting a simple email later at night (because you used the five-second rule and acted upon it when you thought of it) could be your next big business transaction or sale.?
Implementing the five-second rule is a small way to make a big difference. However, taking action to make changes in your life and business is going to require more than that. Taking action to be involved in things that make you better is essential. Attending events where you not only gain more knowledge but where you form new relationships is an excellent option. Another, more intimate, way is enrolling in a mastermind. Being a part of a smaller group with like-minded individuals also allows you to gather new information, meet new people, and form long-lasting business relationships. Take action by expanding your knowledge and broadening your network because you never know when one person or one thought will be your next million-dollar idea.?
Knowing where to start, or how to start, can be difficult. That is why utilizing the five-second rule to make yourself just start taking action is the first step. Next, finding an event to attend or a mastermind to be a part of is where the magic happens. Trying to find the right event to attend can be overwhelming. When you Google “events” over seven billion results appear - “mastermind” brings in about seventy-five million. How are you to ever decide what one to pick? I will make it easy on you. Type in “Rise and Record” and click the first option. Take action and start by joining me at Rise and Record .?
You may be thinking, “Of course, you recommend your event - you’re biased.” I can say with confidence that I am not biased but rather educated and experienced when it comes to events. I’ve attended over 500 events in my lifetime - along with founding multiple and co-hosting many, many more. In fact, in my 365 mastermind, I just helped a client (who has never held an event) host one with over 250 attendees. Trial and error is key. Through my experience with all these events, I have observed what works and what doesn’t. I have found that gathering individuals who think alike with similar desires and drive in the same room leads to magic being formed.?

Another part that makes Rise and Record different from the rest, is that it is applicable to everyone. Every single person has a story - yes, even you. Our whole purpose of the event is to encourage those who may be too afraid or do not think they are significant enough to RISE up and SHARE their story. We want to hear it, and the world has been waiting for it to be shared. Just like you never know who you will run into that will make a difference, you do not know the impact your story holds until it is shared.?
I encourage you to TAKE. ACTION. and make the commitment. You will not regret it, I can promise you that. They say the hardest step for a runner is the one out the door. Take that first step - whether it is acting within five seconds of an idea or clicking the purchase button to attend your first event - the “right” time is now.?
Best,
