52 REASONS WHY CHOOSING KEB #29 – Here is the Varan!

One of the main point for the development of industry 4.0 is the communication among different devices. The KEB philosophy, since the beginning of the digital communication over the field bus, has always been to take care about the openness of the system. Therefore, we have implemented different bus systems in order to give our customers the possibility to choose.

The Varan Fieldbus, is the home -Ethernet based fieldbus of the company Sigmatek. The generation of KEB drive F5 already had this bus system, and now also the current generation of drives is fully compatible with Varan.

A few months ago, the F6 drive series with Varan has been launched, and now we are pleased to release the S6 version too, which cover the compact range of drive from 0,75 to 5,5 kW (nominal current from 4 to 12 A).

If you own a Sigmatek PLC and need to start-up a KEB drive, you only need to import the ready to use class for Lasail (development tool of the company Sigmatek) and use the available communication functions.
