We also want to thank our newsletter subscribers — all 124,000 of you! — for taking the time to read and share your thoughts every week on what's happening in the construction industry in the Middle East.
In 2024, the annual ranking of the top 30 construction contractors in Saudi Arabia resurfaces, shedding light on the largest and most influential firms in the kingdom.
As timelines tighten and activity surges on the gigaprojects driving Vision 2030, Construction Week Middle East engages with the companies driving Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation away from oil, via their extensive work across thousands of project sites nationwide.
The compilation process involved reaching out to domestic contractors within the kingdom and distributing a questionnaire focusing on four key criteria: notable achievements in the past 12 months, projects completed within the 2023-2024 timeframe, current backlogs, and 2023 revenue.
Subsequently, the editorial team meticulously curated the gathered data, leveraging publicly available information and their own expertise to identify the most dynamic construction firms in the kingdom, culminating in the final rankings.
Please note that the editorial team only considered contractors that are originally established in the kingdom.
From gigaprojects to infrastructure, these are the players you need to know — and collaborate with.
1. Nesma & Partners
Nesma & Partners , a forefront constructor in Saudi Arabia, has seen remarkable growth and achievements throughout the past year, notably with the acquisition of Kent, a global engineering and project management leader in the energy sector, in January 2024. Furthermore, the company’s focus on training and development is evident through the Nesma High Training Institute (NHTI), which has equipped over 16,000 Saudi youth with essential skills since its inception in 2012.
