DATING WEB SITE FOR BOOMERS & SENIORS OFFERS COACHING AND PENN STATE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS – FIRST EVER IN THE U.S.

50PlusConnects.com, a boomer and senior dating web site, based in State College, PA, is breaking the service mold set by its larger competitors in two key ways. Fifty-plus singles who want to get back into that vaguely remembered but still alluring world of “dating” now have a web site that offers free access to a real-life coach for the journey, with contributions made to Penn State scholarships for Penn State alumni subscribers (and for a growing number of universities).

The internet dating service, 50PlusConnects, now offers help from “dating coaches” who personally help clients make a date connection, locate a travel buddy, or just find a companion with whom to see movies. And, 10% of subscription fees paid by the alumni subscribers of Penn State, (and soon by a number of major universities) will fund student scholarships for Penn State to help relieve the growing debt of college students.

Anyone who subscribes for three months or more to 50PlusConnects is eligible for coaching and may chose any personal coach from a roster provided. The coach may guide the subscriber through the customs and etiquette of online connecting and dating, can help complete a profile or post a flattering photo. 50PlusConnects’ experienced relationship/dating coaches tailor their services to each client’s specific needs and convenience. Subscribers have access to one hour of free coaching per month during a three or six month subscription time frame. Webcasts on dating for boomers and seniors are also available free of charge.

Dr. Elaine Rodino, President and founder of 50PlusConnects.com, a licensed psychologist for over 30 years says, “50PlusConnects is not a corporate dating factory; we’re a small group of seniors focused less on numbers and more on helping every member find the unique relationship that each is most comfortable with. The coaching and scholarship funds are simply a continuum of our basic philosophy,” she said. “We started this boutique website with an awareness that many of our subscribers are widowed or recently divorced. Their last date may have been 20 to 30 years ago. And their children or grandchildren are often laden with college debt. Both need help”.
