Why did you choose First PREMIER Bank?

At first, I wanted to avoid driving to Watertown for work. I had young kids and wanted to be able to go to their school activities. After working at the bank for a while, I decided this was “my place.” I had developed great relationships with customers and co-workers. The benefits were amazing, and they provided me with stability in the workplace.

?What is your favorite part of your job?

Interacting with customers. Their joys become your joys, and we celebrate them together. You share in their sorrows, and you work through them together. We’re a family. I have met some awesome people on my journey, and they have taught me a great deal. I will always be grateful to First PREMIER Bank for the opportunity to grow and become the person I am today.

What’s the biggest change you’ve witnessed during your 50 years?

Definitely technology! When I first started everything was done manually. We had a big old proof machine with many cubbyholes for different items. We filed checks and created statements. Now, we do everything online. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring next!

What does it mean to be PREMIER?

It means being the best you can be. It also means treating others the way you want to be treated. To be PREMIER means you know your products and how they fit into your customer’s lives.

What advice do you have for new employees?

Be patient and do the best you can. Take it one day at a time. Some of the changes that came my way were challenging and really tried my patience! But they were also great learning experiences. Follow The PREMIER Way and you can’t go wrong.
